I think I found the problem I was having and I hope someone can let me know if I`m on the right track. The problem: File transfers do not work between pc and unix. probable reason: The pc I use at work is connected directly to a local network and I cannot log in to my account on the unix machine directly. I need to log in to a vms machine and then telnet to the unix machine. Could this be the problem? I can download text files, but not binary files, and I can`t upload either. How do I transfer files between unix and vms machines? Is there some other method of establishing a connection from vms to unix so that the MS-kermit will work properly for transfers? And finally, is kermit available on vms machines? (I'm lazy and asking you instead of checking myself.) Again, many thanks for any replies. ========================================================================= Greg Cook Chemistry IS life! gcook@horus.cem.msu.edu Watch for the next generation of Enamines cook@frith.egr.msu.edu coming to a Journal near you!
