I have a Motorola Delta 88 box with an MVME180 processor board sporting a version E.2 88k chip. I am running Unisoft UNIX V/88 Release 3.2, version 1.2c. I have an MVME335 serial board. I have two identical systems Motorola has checked out the hardware and says its all OK. Unisoft says this configuration is supposed to work and has suggested strapping for the serial board which we have followed. Problem: We can't use the terminals hanging off the serial board. inittab, gettydefs, and so on appear to be set up correctly. And in fact the ports seem to be initialized, but are not held open. I have found Unisoft to be most unresponsive to this problem. Question: has anybody gotten a system like this to work? Has anybody tried? Any ideas? -- Dave Lord lord@se-sd.sandiego.ncr.com (619)693-5588
