A friend has been given a Mac, one of the earlier 512 models with an
internal drive of 400 kbytes( make: Sony). The drive has mechanical
problems in ejecting the disk and is rendering a beautiful machine to be
unused/underused.

If anyone has experience in fixing a similar problem, or a used disk-drive
to spare as a replacement, please respond to this account or call directly. 
I will be happy to come and salvage the drive from any abondoned Mac lying
around. 

This need is urgent and your help will be appreciated.
