Lines: 19 I'm posting this for a friend. How do Mac desktop applications gain access to files across a network. The tenative solution being considered is to connect Mac IIs to a PC via Appletalk, the PC having an ethernet card, with some kind of protocol to exchange data between the PC and the Mac. This seems like a less than elegant solution. Knowing that there are ethernet cards for Mac IIs and AU/X, is there existing software that works in the Mac OS (desktop) environment? Any and all info would be appreciated. Please email me. Thanks Chewey, get us outta here! kaleb@mars.jpl.nasa.gov (818)354-8771 Kaleb Keithley
