Message-ID: <1785@thumper.bellcore.com> Date: 11 Dec 89 21:59:10 GMT Organization: Bell Communications Research Lines: 35 Gang, You may have recently read a recap and re-intro of some Jasmine drive probs I'm experiencing. Well, here's a horse of a different color (so to speak!): 1) When I discovered that my external drive was not mounting, I reset the PRAM. 2) Re-booted. 3) Still no drive, AND <>. Yes, I have color turned on, proper #, etc. Any ideas as to why this should be so? Tommorrow I plan on re-copying the startup screen. Just for funsies I may do a file compare and see what changed - and even more importantly, I'd like to know why. This file insists that it's B&W now. <> other color is fine (proper time & place, etc.). Just the "StartupScreen" got hammered. Anyone know why? BTW: I'm still trying to speak with a human at Jasmine about the failed 140MB DirectDrive. We keep playing phone tag. Glad I'm not paranoid, otherwise I might suspect they know any (201) area code is a few hours offset - now I just laugh when my answering machine says the msg came it at 7:28 p.m., etc. I don't mind working late, but... "When it rains it pours..." Any help is greatly appreciated! For best results, please e-mail... :-) Regards, Pete Ferris pff@thumper.bellcore.com
