System 6.0.3. Also I am running Multifinder. Here's the problem: I use Word 4.0 to edit different sets of documents, so for each set I have a different Word 4.0 settings file. I keep these on the desktop, and then whichever set of documents I have to work on I use its corresponding settings file to startup Word. Until last week this worked fine. Then I downloaded Temprament 2.0 and installed it. Now the following happens: When I power up the Mac and select one of my Word 4.0 settings files I get a message that the application is busy or cannot be found. Okay, how about if I just try to open a Word document? Same problem. But I can open Word directly and then read these documents. So, I looked at the files using "View by type" and the Word files all have the type field set to "About Temprament"!!!! As soon as Word 4.0 is opened the type field shows up correctly for all the files.
