Keywords: mac symbolic maths Message-ID: <1202@kl-cs.UUCP> Date: 12 Dec 89 12:04:04 GMT Organization: University of Keele, England Lines: 25 Hi Netters, I'm a graduate student with a humble Mac plus, and was wondering what was the best symbolic maths package I could get for the money. (I mention that because although Mathematica seems to get all the attention - it is still a very expensive program in terms of the initial outlay, and the machine that you need to use it effectively). I have a demo copy of MILO from the sumex archives and am impressed with it, and am thinking of getting the 'real thing'. Has anybody any experience with it? Are there any alternatives comparable in price? Does anybody have any comments in general (always good to start something going!!)? Thanks in advance for your time, it would probably be better to e-mail me direct and I'll summarize to the net. -- Tony McDonald (Tones) JANET: phd11@uk.ac.kl.seq1 ~ * ARPANET: phd11@seq1.kl.ac.uk \_/ BITNET: phd11%uk.ac.kl.seq1@ukacrl
