Message-ID: <65867@tiger.oxy.edu> Date: 5 Dec 89 21:43:59 GMT Organization: Occidental College, Los Angeles, CA 90041 Lines: 19 Not yet having MPW, I still use RMaker to install icons into my applications, INITs, and so forth. However, the icons don't seem to be permanant icons. What I mean is this: if I rebuild the desktop, the icon will remain if the name of the file is identical to what it was when I installed the icon (the name used in the TEXT file submitted to RMaker.) However, if the name differs at all, I lose the icons (although all I have to do is rename the file to the original name and rebuild and my icons return.) This kinda sucks and I was wondering why this is happening. What is the difference between my application and say, MacWrite, which you can change the name of, rebuild and have it retain its icon? I can relay my RMaker source file to anyone who may want to look at it. Any body have any indication of what may be going on? Thanks much, Ando Sonenblick: sonenbli@oxy.edu (Please call me Ando, lest _my_ appearance change when I am rebuilt!)
