Are there any tech notes for cd-rom data > structures? Any help appreciated. There are several possible formats for CD-ROM discs on the Mac: 1) Native HFS. This is documented in the File Manager chapters of Inside Macintosh. 2) ISO 9660. The "official" standard is ISO 9660, "Information processing --Volume and file structure of CD-ROM for information interchange." You can get it from Global Engineering Documents, 800-854-7175, or 714-261-1455. The document is very pricey: $60 for 31 pages. Its also about as easy to understand as the tax code. 3) High Sierra. This is the older, pre-official format that eventually became ISO 9660 after modifications. The High Sierra standard is available from: National Institute of Standards & Technology Administration 101 Library E-106 Gaithersburg, MD 20899 (301) 975-2814 Does that answer the original question? The term "data structures" & CD-ROM is rather vague... --Brian Bechtel blob@apple.com "My opinion, not Apple's"
