Well, as a co-worker here at sun suggested:

Take a large apple box and cut it into manageable pieces.
Fill a 12 quart stock pot with water
Add apple box pieces, a quartered onion, two whole carrots and
some celery

Boil for 2 hours.  Strain
card stock can be frozen or poured into your laser writer while still
hot.
