Before net.bizarre was created -(in the create just by typing days) there was effectively no traffic -similar to what appears there in the other groups. The group got -created, a few people started posting "hey, let's post bizarre things!" -and that inspired people to post what they otherwise would not have.) You can't put the djinni back in the bottle, Brad (despite what the fairy tale says). Were talk.bizarre to be rmgrouped (or just not propogated) I suspect that the volume would be spread out over a bunch of different newsgroups; most likely rec.arts.poetry, alt.prose, talk.rumors and misc.misc. And news.groups, although there are those who believe that news.groups has already become more bizarre than t.b will ever become. The part of the status quo that affects talk.bizarre is probably left alone, for the benefit of everyone. -- David Bedno, Systems Administrator, The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc.
