Some about the group: Name - comp.lang.cobol Charter - Almost obvious. About anything that concerns the Cobol language. Compilers and products. Language problems. What you would expect from a comp.lang.* group. The group will not be moderated. Voting conditions: How - MAIL your votes to me, posted votes will be ignored. Address - My address is sommar@enea.se. If your mailer chokes on internet addresses you should think of fixing it. In the mean while route the mail over uunet or another backbone. Vote format - I would very much prefer if you could modify the subject line to say "YES/NO to comp.lang.cobol". I would also appreciate if the body of your mail contained your real name and a reply address in domain format. When - The voting period lasts from December 4th to Christmas Eve, 21 days according to the guideline. Votes that reach me on Christmas Day or later will be discarded. Acknowledge - I will acknowledge all votes by mail, unless you explicitly ask me not to. Votes that don't contain a sensible reply address neither in the header nor in the body will not be acknowledged. If the proposal passes I will post a list of all voters for verification. Result - I will post the result sometime in the beginning of 1990, since if I post it directly, many interested may miss it becuase of the holidays. -- Erland Sommarskog - ENEA Data, Stockholm - sommar@enea.se Mail me your votes on comp.lang.cobol.
