hi -

i understand that somewhere there exists (and is periodically posted)
a list of *all newsgroups in existence* (or as close to all as possible)
and a description of their charters.  basically, i would like to see
which groups are not subscribed to at our site (out in the boondocks
of muenchen, west germany) so that i and other interested parties
might petition for subscription to any of interest that we don't
get (taking space and budget into consideration, of course. um. cough.).
i have been hunting around for this list, but have not found it --
if someone would email the current list to me, and/or post it
again to the appropriate group (news.announce.newusers??),
i would appreciate it greatly.
