He appears to be 'mildewing'. It's not very noticable, but over the last month or two he has become slowly covered with what looks like a very lite coat of mildew. There are no bumps, or fuzz like ich, but it can be seen if you look very carefully. We have had him about a year. He is about 4.5 inches long, has a great appetite, and is quite active. His behavior has not changed at all. About the tank, 55 gallon minireef about 2 yrs old with one clown, one mandarin, one royal gramma, one yellow coris, one seebae anemonea, one curlique anemonea, one shrimp, some mushroom corals, some star polyps and few other minor creatures. The tank has a trickle filter, an UGF with two powerheads, a protein skimmer and an ultraviolent chamber connected to the trickle filter. Everything else in the tank seems very healthy and happy. Nothing else has this symptom. No ammonia or nitrites and nitrates stay at or below 10 ppm, PH 8.2, temp is 76 to 78 degrees. The tank has lots of light with a very healthy growth of caulerpa. I usually feed them frozen brine shrimp and once or twice a week I feed them some of the Coralife Smorgasbord frozen food. I would just like to know if I should be concerned, I really like this fish, he 's very curious and 'friendly'; he will eat out of your hand. Thanks in advance, Robin
