Their 20th anniversary concert was held at the Brixton Academy in London last summer and highlighted another shift in the bands musical style, this time towards a more "mellow" mood. A new album is expected soon, featuring Simon House's violin instead of Lloyd Langton's guitar. I had heard that they had toured the states last year and were releasing a single for US consumption only. If anyone knows what the single was, then please tell me!! Hawkwind are only one of the new age/experimental/psychedelic bands that are playing in England at the moment. Has anyone heard of: Ozric Tentacles, Voodoo Child, The Magic Mushroom Band, The Here and Now Band, The Invisible Opera Company of Thibet or Tubilah Dog. If not, check them out! Simon.
