While I liked _Music for Piano and Drums_, I didn't like it as much as I liked their second album, _Flags_. I think it's considerably better than the first one. Re: Moraz -- before Yes, Patrick Moraz was in a band called Refugee; the other members of Refugee were all the former members of the Nice who were sorta left up in the air when Emerson quit. I've never heard the album, but rumour has it it will be released on CD soon. Anyone out there familiar with this album; is it as good as one would expect form a Moraz-Nice combination? Before Refugee, Moraz was in a (real obscure) band called Mainhorse. As far as I know, they only released one album. I like it a lot; both Moraz's keyboard playing and the violin playing of Peter Lockett are excellent. >Concerning Roger Dean art: Does anyone know of any other groups he has >done covers for? Aside from Yes members, he's done the Asia covers and >I recently picked up a copy of "Greenslade". I think it's from 1972 and Well, Roger Dean also did the covers for John Lodge's solo album _Natural Avenue_ (excellent album, BTW). Also he did the cover for the original British release of Gentle Giant's _Octopus_ album, with this really neat big red octopus on it. Also, he did McKendree Spring's _Spring Suite_ album cover. If you're interested in album cover art, you might want to look for a series of books, _The Album Cover Album_ and its two sequels. They're collections of album cover art, assembled by Roger Dean and the guy who founded Hipgnosis (the bunch who did the artwork for, among other albums, Pink Floyd's _Wish You Were Here_.) I've only got the first book in the series, but it is good. Among other things, it shows the Roger Dean covers I mentioned above, as well as a full-page picture of the cover to _Relayer_. -- Richard Todd rmtodd@chinet.chi.il.us or rmtodd@uokmax.ecn.uoknor.edu
