Alright, let us look at horns and being horny, and what they have in common, and maybe this will show how horny *might* have come about as meaning turned-on. Horns come in two types, the type that can be played, and the sort fopund on many mammals. Notice that when the male tends to be horny, there is a tendancy to sprout a fifth appendage... this resembles the horn of mammals in that it protrudes from the body, is rigid, covered with skin, and can be used as a thrusting weapon. This same member can be used to make lots of noise, as the other sort of horn, and can even be played the same way :).
