A person of entirely unknown characteristics posts a couple of pieces on the account of Sam Conway, at Dartmouth. The individual seems to be entirely ignorant of the basic mechanics of the English language. Harem connotes a number of things, but male female equality is sure as hell not one of them. Neither is marriage, in the sense that the original poster meant it. Harem does connote one thing quite well - the idea of women as property. Now that is distasteful. In fact that's outright revolting. Immediately upon informing us that he/she is Sam Conway's roomate the person states "(were not gay you sickkos)" This implies that this individual has serious problems. First, has this person stopped to consider that a large number of people in this Net are college folk? And that many college folk have roomates and do not have homosexual relationships with them? Did this person stop to consider that it is impolite to call everyone in here a "sicko" because he/she felt (incorrectly) that we would make an assumption about his/her sexual orientation? For you, who, or whatever you may be, I have a couple of friendly suggestions. Please do not describe Net readers as "sick" until you know who you're talking about. Please do not give out a false address and claim it as your own for the sole purpose of hiding from the fruits of you blatherings. Please get an account of your own, it makes getting rid of you easier (Kill file time.) Your spelling and grammar, of course, are atrocious. I would recommend that you either drop your act, (yes I think you're faking it) or if you are really this bad, for whatever reason, get someone to proofread for you or get someone to explain the mysteries of the delete key to you. Either sign your posts with your own .sig, or use an anonymous posting service. Either tell us who you really are, or be totally anonymous, but cut the fencesitting crap.
