Seriously, I think that a plural marriage is the only way to go, if you want children. My wife (only one, so far) and I both work. If we had children, who would take care of them? If one of us lost a job, how long could we live on just one paycheck? How often can we get a babysitter for an evening away? What about a whole day? A weekend? A week? A Month? The idea of multiple parrents for child rearing is not new... look at life about 100 years ago (or more). Usually, the new couple lived within walking distance of at least one set of parrents. Often, they lived with at least one, often several adult relatives. It was a lot easier to get someone to watch your kids for a while. In general, these were people that you could trust. There are also other benefits. There are also disadvantages... The biggest that I can see off-hand is finding other like-minded people... people that you would trust to raise your children for you. (I am hoping that the net will help here... that's how I found my wife... if it worked once, maybe I'll get lucky again) +C -- Cory Kempf Technology Concepts phone: (508) 443-7311 x341 uucp: {anywhere}!uunet!tci!kempf, kempf@tci.bell-atl.com DISCLAIMER: TCI is not responsible for my opinions, nor I for theirs
