I thank you all for your kind and helpful comments regarding my story, _The Education of Rachel_. Needless to say, I have gotten the answer I was looking for, I now know that there are people out there who have read and hopefully enjoyed the story, and so you can stop posting and rest assured that I will get back to work. I was particularly interested to hear Mr. Maroney and others describe how "Rachel" was similar to _The Story of "O"_. I have heard and read much about that story, but to date have not read the book nor seen the film. Now I'm determined *not* to do so, not because I do not want to read it, but because I already have the direction of my story planned out and I do not intend to change it, regardless of whether it happens to coincide with "O" or any other classic. Hopefully, in the fullness of time the two stories will diverge, but I personally would not be surprised to find that they both deal with similar experiences and emotions. Please do not interpret Mr. Maroney's helpful comments as a flame. They brought the similarities of the stories to my attention, and they gave me some good feedback concerning the type of stories which are appropriate here. My only request of Mr. Maroney is that he keep reading -- the beginning is nothing like the end, and I think I may have a few surprises for him and everyone else. And, of course, I eagerly await all comments, favorable or critical, from him and others. Thanks for reading, and rest assured that more is coming. Like many of you, I detest unfinished stories, especially when they are my own. I currently have the next 5 parts outlined -- stay tuned.
