(Comments, Flash Gordon?) people sensitive to iodine (who may also be allergic to shellfish) might react to betadine, but it's pretty benign stuff, generally. it *does* kill yeast, too. in fact, they used betadine to wash down the capsule that returned from the first moon mission, just in case it had "moon bugs" on it. a good way to test if you're allergic to something is to tape a piece of it to your inner arm, where the skin is real thin. if you're testing a liquid, put a drop on a piece of gauze or tissue and tape it there. (be sure to use the hypoallergenic paper kind of tape). if you're allergic, you should get a red, itchy reaction within about 24 - 48 hours. e-mail flash@well.sf.ca.us / phone flash gordon, md (415) 75-flash fax (if you don't wanna talk to me live) (415) 753-dead. vox (415) 227-5782 ==>health care is a right, not a privilege!<== haight ashbury free clinic ~~~~~ -- {hplabs,ucbvax,lll-lcc,ptsfa}!well!flash / flash gordon, md.
