How difficult is it to load a new citation database? At various times I've talked with librarians who were investigating mainframe text management database systems as a way of loading citation or full-text databases (e.g., Data Retrieval's TextDBMS), but I've not heard of anyone actually doing it. Has anyone done it? Have you investigated it and decided not to do it (why?). Is anyone using software other than BRS/SEARCH, SPIRES, or a text DBMS for locally-mounted library databases? +----------------------------------------------------------+ | Charles W.
