There are various long running range wars / personality clashes that tend
to erupt wherever the participants discover each other, without notable
consideration for the readers of the newgroup affected.

Experience suggests the best thing to do is hit your skip/next/kill key
as quickly as possible before getting suckered into the emotional content
of the transaction.  Eventually the noise/stink wanders elsewhere and is
forgotten.
