	(TORONTO) Metro Toronto has approved creation of a Task Force to
study the pros and cons of Sunday shopping. Seven Councillors will sit
on the Committee, which has until the end of June to submit its report
to Metro Council for consideration.
	Councillor Howard Moscoe, a staunch opponent of Sunday shopping,
will chair the Task Force. He says the committee will be guaging public
opinion over the next four months to help draft its report on Sunday
shopping.
	Council has set aside 10-thousand dollars for the Task Force to
conduct a phone poll of 500 residents. A Sunday shopping plebiscite in
the 1991 municipal elections is also a possibility.
