Huntsville, Al Lines: 25 I don't read either of the newsgroups that I've posted this to, perhaps I should and I wouldn't be asking stupid questions ;-) I'm fairly comfortable sending mail to unix sites and can usually figure out a correct mailpath if given an address and well-known network node. I've recently been asked how to send mail to a BITNET site, and I'm not sure. I suspect that I need a unix site that functions as a gateway (it seems to me that uunet does) but given an address like: somebody@someplace.BITNET how would I send them mail. I would appreciate email responses rather than postings, since I won't see the postings... Thanks for your help. * - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Gary Smith Intergraph Corporation Huntsville, AL 35894-0001 bldg 17C rm 136 MS#IW17C1 uunet!ingr!b17c!gsmith!grs ( uucp ) voice: 205-730-7506 * - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
