There's a short article about Alpha in the Electronic Engineering Times
(Dec 25, 1989).  It starts on page 1.  The article is titled:  Concurrent
Alpha OS Gets Boost.

The article talks about industry and military commitments to Alpha and 
provides a brief review of the Alpha concepts.
