The fact that it cannot be run without manual intervention makes it, IMHO, the single worst solution to archiving that I can think of. Given the choice between a slow, poorly compressing archiver that can be run from a script without manual intervention, and one that requires manual intervention, I would opt for the former every time, and save myself a lot of time and aggravation, considering the amount of archiving/unarchiving I do. Unfortunately, there are so many folks who will jump on PKAZip as their archiver of choice, I will be forced to use at least the 'unZip only' version, which can be run from a script. I will be using it to convert any ZIPped files to something more useful. -larry -- "Cavett Emptor - Let the talk show host beware!" - Evan Marcus +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | // Larry Phillips | | \X/ lphillips@lpami.wimsey.bc.ca -or- uunet!van-bc!lpami!lphillips | | COMPUSERVE: 76703,4322 -or- 76703.4322@compuserve.com | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
