I hated DUs before I saw SID (prefering the CLI), but now I use SID exclusively for file management, archiving and de-archiving, showing pictures, hearing samples, etc. Now the NEAT thing about SID is that if you click on ANY archived file (.arc, .zoo, or .lzh), SID will display the contents of that file. If you select one or more archived files, then select UNARC, SID will automatically choose the correct un-archiving program and de-arc the program for you. Finally, if you select a number of files and hit ARC, it will archive those files for you using whatever archive program you prefer. There are SO many good things about SID, and only a few bad ones (which I mentioned in the letter accompanying my $25 shareware registration that I wrote out within hours of discovering the program). You should all check it out. SID 1.06. Very nice. -- Fred Hamilton Any views, comments, or ideas expressed here Harris Semiconductor are entirely my own. Even good ones. Santa Clara, CA
