I'm sorry but I must have missed the discussion of enq/ack & cu. The cu program should have no problem accessing a 3000, and it does have an option that tells it to respond properly to enq/ack handshaking. It also know how to send data a 3000 using DC1 prompting. What exactly was the original problem, and in what way did cu fail to solve it? Rob
