Gotta be more carful. I was the victim of vague books (Howard Sams Co.) which discuss a "segment" as a 64KB chunk only. Nowhere do they say that a segment refers to 16B chunks and that "offset" is NOT the offset within the "current segment" but is really just a pointer to any location above the base "address" of the current segment (segment X 10h).
