SInce Atari chose a > smaller screen for it's Portfolio the normal BIOS writing does not work as > expected. I have tried it. The IBM ROM BIOS call SetPixel works just fine. (GetPixel doesn't though, but you can retrieve the value by looking in the RAM screen image). Do note that you have to kick the screen into graphics mode first. I have written a small tetris like game using the graphics and it is speedy enough for that.
