I've bought over 200 regular DSDD 3.5" diskettes from MEI/MicroCenter. The first thing I do is format them all, and sometimes one or two out of 100 fail to format. But they're guaranteed, and MEI/MicroCenter gives you no hassle. Just call their 800 number, tell them how many were bad, and they send you free replacements. They don't ask you to send the bad ones back. (What makes me laugh is that they'll usually send a replacement disk via UPS in a big cardboard box of styrofoam peanuts instead of just popping it in a mailing envelope!) In short, there's little risk in buying their diskettes. I'm a satisfied customer.
