A colleague of mine is looking for bar code readers, magnetic credit card
readers and verification software that all ties in with a point-of-sale
cash register/inventory system.  This would also have to generate labels for
the inventory items using bar codes.  Whatever method of encoding I don't
know (I know there are several types).

Any pointers to anything like this, or related software and hardware, sure
would be appreciated.
