I got my >un-cashed check back in today's mail, with no explanation. I can give a little insight into this. Last September, I was in the throes of moving, and when I got settled into my new job, I found a mail message from Tad Blakeley saying that some of us had sent checks made out incorrectly and needed to send them again. I sent mine in, and tried to contact Tad via email, but never got a reply. Back in October (a couple of days after the quake), I got Tad on the phone, and he said that he was planning to send in the order in another week or so. As the year wore on, I sent more email and even posted a note, but the only reply I ever got was from Dave Platt, who was also wondering what happened. Around December 15, I finally caught up with Tad by phone. His response was basically that he had not made the order, was in the middle of finals, and did not know if the order would be sent in any time soon. By this time, PMMU prices were down to around $150, so I asked for my check back, and he agreed. I decided to wait until I saw it before saying anything on the net. It appears that everyone is getting their money back. I'm glad that's over. I've had a bank account in Colorado that I haven't been able to close waiting for that damn check to clear. -- David Elliott dce@smsc.sony.com | ...!{uunet,mips}!sonyusa!dce (408)944-4073 "Never call a crazed psychotic a crazed psychotic."
