hi !

i intend to buy a 320MB scsi streamer from tandberg (TDC 3820)
for ix/386 2.0.2. my question is: how can i tell tar that i want to
write in qic-150 or qic-120 format instead of qic-320 format ?
i guess i'll need different devices like for floppy drives, where
the minor numbers tell the driver what format to use. BUT, how clever
is the tape driver form ISC ? 


any suggestions welcome !
