Your SilentTalk posts datestamped January 5 are here in western PA on January 11. I've been wondering about SilentTalk myself, ever since it got on the backbone. Has it slipped a disc? Maybe we should take it to a Chiropractor or something :-) I share your cautions about the IMS 2445 modem. It MAY be a fine product - the specs are nice. But I was unable to find a listing for IMS in any of several industry directories I consulted. And I think we just have to condition ourselves for "Sticker Shock". After all, aren't we the folks who shell out $800 and up for about $15 worth of electronics in a little package to hang on our ear? Why shouldn't the other suppliers exploit us as well? Jack. ...
