Under no circumstances would I vote for, or post to, an Objectivism newsgroup which is moderated by someone who is not a recognized authority on Objectivism. Since no such recognized authorities are available, an unmoderated newsgroup is the only alternative. In my judgement, there is no real reason to have a moderator; anyone who behaves irrationally can simply be ignored--and each individual can be his own judge as to what constitutes irrationality. I do not need anyone to tell me what does or does not belong in an Objectivist newsgroup--that is a decision that I can make for myself. Joe Harris harris@portia.stanford.edu
