To mark it unread, you have to find it. To find an already-read message, do a pattern search of the header using a pattern you know will be in the header. Search backward from the most recent message by doing ?pattern?hr where h=header, r=already-read. When the desired message is displayed......actually, you might not have to mark it as unread....try entering "C" for cancel. That should do it. Now, could someone do a ?packer?hr to find my earlier query about editing the Subject: line? I'm desperate.
