ok so comp.sources.misc is moderated - no problem.

BUT on the checkgroups messages that I receive comp.unix.wizards is NOT a
moderated newsgroup - setting it as moderated locally, which you evidently have
done, will cause the rejections you have noted here, as NONE of the postings
into comp.unix.wizards require to have an Approved: header line.

The log file you have included is not relevant to local postings..
I would check that local postings into moderated newsgroups do get sent to the
moderator (set up a local moderated newsgroup, and test it locally).
     
If the posting fails, then the most probable problem is a configuration error
in local settings of the NEWS_MANAGER:NEWS_ADDRESS.CNF file.
