The nearest MARINE Division to Korea is stationed on Okinawa. There were only 435 Squids and Jarheads stationed with me in Korea (1984 - 1986). As one of the Squids, I felt outnumbered as did all of us sea-going types. 2. The Division that you might be referring to is the 2ND Infantry Division of the U.S. ARMY.
