Message-ID: <1990Jan18.044438.17775@aucs.uucp> Date: 18 Jan 90 04:44:38 GMT Organization: Acadia University - School of Computer Science Lines: 16 I just accidentally deleted all the files on my boot partition of my hard drive. Now stupid me, I remembered that DISKDOCTOR will sometimes recover deleted files so I used it. Well it recovered some, created some, and deleted some (some subdirs had escaped my mistake :-) ). Ok so it worked (sort of) better than nothing, but it did one strange thing. My S directory still exists, but the dir entry doesn't. DIR, LIST, BROWSER, ARP's file requester do not see it, but if I type cd s: then I'm in it and all the files are good. If anyone knows something better than diskdoctor for undelete or what happened to my S directory please let me know. Todd Lowe 871579l@aucs
