I had only read part of the documentation and assumed that Kickram would make a 2000 work like a 1000 (selectable Kicstart). Anyway, the problem was with the game Marble Madness. Darren New posted a tiny program (for Archon) that disables the auto-config on reboot, and this solved the problem with MM. Apparently, some older Electronic Arts programs choke under 1.3 when there's fast ram. Thanks again. -Todd
