Message-ID: Date: 22 Jan 90 11:58:44 GMT Sender: news@odin.SGI.COM Reply-To: portuesi@sgi.com (Michael Portuesi) Organization: Silicon Graphics, Inc., Mtn. View, CA Lines: 18 Could somebody post, or email, some halfway detailed instructions for opening the 1080 monitor? I tried removing all the user-visible screws, and the metal plate on the bottom of the monitor, but the plastic housing will not separate. If anybody has opened the 1080 (or 2002 or even 1084S, I think), please let me know how you did it. In case anybody was wondering I need to get at the internal adjustments for black level on the red, green and blue color guns. My 1080 has displayed black as a shade of dark red and red tinted greyscales for the past three years or so, and I've finally gotten fed up with it enough to do something about it. --M -- __ \/ Michael Portuesi Silicon Graphics Computer Systems, Inc. portuesi@SGI.COM Entry Systems Division -- Engineering
