    Could be any number of things causing your problem, including imperfect
emulation using the Epson drivers, but have you considered the possibility
of incorrect handshaking when buffering?   Many printers these days have
selectable or dipswitchable buffers.  That would explain why the problem
happens 2 or 3 times per page.  Check your manual and see if you can
enable/disable the buffer manually or via software (send a text file with
the right codes to par: or ser:, depending on which port you are using).
    This, of course, is only one possible source of the problem.  Good luck.
