I'm trying to connect an Apple Laserwriter Plus to an IBM PC clone (XT) using the DB25 plug on the printer. The PC has a DB9 plug. I've tried every possible combination of number-of-bits and parity, but the best that I get is a flashing activity light on the printer, which never seems to stop again (I switched of the printer after waiting 35 minutes). I would be very grateful if someone could tell me 1) how do I need to set up the COM1: port (I'm running Windows and Draw, and use the control panel to change the port setting) 2) how should the cable between PC and printer be wired (I'm using a RS232 modem cable right now). Thanks, Leo Vermeulen (USENET: ..!uunet!mcsun!sunic!spocm2!lhv) (Voice: + 46 8 7821081)
