I have quite a pile of satelite images (from dynamics explorer I) that
I've been using in my research, and I'd like to view them on my RT with
its megapel display.  I use X11R3 and I know the format of the files
enough to translate them to some standard form.  The gif form seems to
be widely enough accepted that I'm betting it's what I want, so,

Does anyone have code to view gif files under X11R3 on a megapel display
on an RT?  If not, does anyone have useful advice?
