Does anyone know how to get in touch with the author(s) of the program? Talk to me. :-) > 1) if you boot up with the CAPS LOCK key down, then the darn thing does not > work. With caps lock off, it loads no problem. (I found this out randomly.) This is a feature, not a bug. The Caps Lock check also works when opening windows; it can be used to "fix" the below problems. I failed to document this feature. Whoops. > 2) it conflicts with Excel 2.2 in two ways: > [ the two ways deleted ] > 3) it conflicts with Superpaint 2.0. Totally weird to me. Me too. I recently got access to Excel 2.2 and will look into it. If I can't fix it, I'll think about making it fall back to the standard window under Excel 2.2 and in general under SuperPaint 2.0. > HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS? Not yet. > I DON'T REALLY MIND THAT CERTAIN PROGRAMS DON'T RECOGNIZE WINDOWCHOOSER, > BUT IT IS CERTAINLY NOT PRACTICAL WHEN IT DISABLES WINDOWS ALTOGETHER. Not only is it not practical, but it is not deliberate. That's life in the big city. I'll look into it this weekend. By the way, use any more CAPS and I'll have to send the CAPS POLICE after you. > Oh, my list of things I would like to see in a newer version of WindowChooser > (or future version suggestionsI): > 1) further enhancements to make the NeXT windows closer to the next. We'll see. > 2) Have the shrinker feature option on the NeXT window (I like Eric's best). If you like the Shrinker feature, then what you want is AltWDEF. I have tried to post AltWDEF to comp.binaries.mac more times than I have fingers, and I get no response. (And the damn commercial demos continue to appear; why?) > 3) fix the bugs I mentioned above....
