I also found this behaviour annoying, as it overlayed my (non-standard)
StartupScreen, and the icons of any INITs which might have happened to have
run before the AppleShare INIT.  My solution ?  Make the AppleShare INIT
run LAST (just before the Desktop would get drawn, anyway) by renaming it
"zAppleShare".  No problems so far......
