At boot time, while my inits are loading, Broadcast takes about 90 seconds
before its icon comes up.  I am loading many inits, but if I remove
Broadcast, the same pause occurs at Public Folder, while it does not occur
when the pause took place at Broadcast.

I assume some type of network polling is going on.

I am hooked up to an appletalk network connected to a Gatorbox and then
several sun and other workstations.  There are 5 laserwriters and about
seven other macs on our local net.

Does anybody know why these inits are taking so long to load?  Is there
anything I can do to speed up boot time?
