You create the dialog in HyperCard and its powerful XCMDs compile it into the proper resources. It even includes PICT, sicn, and ICON making routines. You can do the timing of your dialog with some fancy scripting within an idle handler (& Dialoger's "Dismiss" command). It's reasonably priced and well supported.
